Nico B. & Rozz Williams - Pig (1998)
Piccola gemma di 20 minuti circa, "Pig" è un corto diretto da Nico B., oscuro regista olandese, che collaborò al progetto con Rozz Williams (compianto cantante dei Christian Death) che scrisse la sceneggiatura per il film oltre a parteciparvi come attore. Anche se non lo vedremo mai in faccia. In realtà nessun viso è mostrato, nessuno parla. Una colonna sonora noise-drone accompagna il film scritta da Williams stesso ma mai terminata a causa della prematura morte; i nastri da lui registrati verranno messi assieme da Chuck Collision, che collaborò con lui al progetto Premature Ejaculation.
Sicuramente straniante, tra il surreale, l'avanguardia del New American Cinema e l'horror (chiamiamolo così) ne sconsiglio la visione ai deboli di stomaco, nonostante le scene "fastidiose" siano davvero poche e il film sembri più che altro incentrarsi sul rapporto "vittima- carnefice"/"carnefice - vittima" che viene esplorato e mostrato agli spettatori in modo suggestivo e molto efficace. E come sempre, quando si parla di film indecifrabili e criptici, l'importante è godere dello spettacolo delle immagini al di la di ogni senso. Questo è in fin dei conti il cinema.
